Easter Gifting: 5 Wellness Themed Alternatives to Easter Eggs
When it comes to Easter gifting it’s very easy to default to buying Easter eggs or daffodils, maybe a card, but with so many alternative options available these days, it’s worth considering whether chocolate alone is the best gift you can buy a loved one.
Afterall, spring is a time of renewal and hope and even if you don’t celebrate a traditional Easter it’s still a great time to gift loved ones with something thoughtful.
If you’re looking for something more health-conscious, there are heaps of other Easter gifts you can give that go beyond the usual chocolate egg. Here are just a few ideas from us here at Treat Norwich:
1. Aromatherapy Essential Oils
Aromatherapy has been long-associated with relaxation and mental clarity. Gifting an aromatherapy diffuser and a set of essential oils makes a lovely gift for the home. Check out the oils we have on sale at Treat. You might also want to go one step further and gift a loved one to an aromatherapy massage here at Treat (starting from just £35 for 30 minutes). Essential oils such as lavender, peppermint and eucalyptus can support a range of things like stress to aiding sleep quality.
2. Curate a Healthy Gift Basket
Instead of a basket of easter eggs, why not create a basket filled with healthy snacks and other wellness items. It doesn’t have to be expensive. You could include something a bit different such as a range of exotic fruits like dragon fruits, mangos and star fruits, if available. Perhaps a crystal or some shells from the beach. Some sugar-free biscuits. You could even include a selection of fruit and herbal teas – anything without the sugar overload. (You can find a range of health options like plant-based snacks, yogurt coated peanuts etc from Rainbow Wholefoods in Norwich.)
3. Buy a Mindfulness, Gratitude or Dream Journal
The start of spring is a great time for new beginnings and hatching plans for the summer. Why not buy a friend a journal instead of the sweet stuff. A beautiful notebook or journal that they will love writing in. We love these ones from Papier, with many offering personalised options. A journal makes such a thoughtful gift as it tells your loved one you are thinking of them – it offers them a space to download their thoughts, to reflect, de-stress, or practice gratitude or even note down their dreams. Pair it with a pen for a complete, thoughtful gift that encourages self-care.
4. Spring Acupuncture Tune Up
Treat your loved one to a session at our acupuncture multi-bed clinic. A multi-bed clinic is only £42. (We spotted today that Hotel Chocolate’s mid-range easter eggs cost £35 this year!) The cost of the multi-bed is so reasonably priced because we’re able to ‘treat’ more than one person at a time. Effectively, once one person has been treated and are waiting for the needles to do their magic, we ‘treat’ another person also in the multi-bed space. This is a good use of time, as usually each person kicks back and relaxes with their needles for around 20-40 minutes. The multi-bed is a calming and soothing space. We play soft music and each treatment couch is separated by discrete curtains.
A session of acupuncture can be a great way to treat a range of issues at the same time, and it’s super relaxing! Not only is it a great way to reduce stress, increase energy levels, but it can also help with sleep, and support any other pain or injuries. All in all, acupuncture is a great all-rounder treatment that can support several issues at once. Find out about our Multi-Bed clinic here.
5. Spring/Summer Coaching Session
Cathy Eden, is our in-house Life Coach at Treat, and a session with her is a really thoughtful way to support a friend or family member. During a session or more, Cathy can help you to develop your self-confidence, manage stress, prioritise self-care, help you to be clear about your goals and create a supportive plan to lead a more fulfilling life. Who wouldn’t rather have that this Easter over chocolate? (Find out more about her here.)
Final Reflections
Although chocolate is a popular gift at Easter, there are also many other thoughtful ways you can treat your loved one. Whether it’s through aromatherapy scents, booking a massage, a healthy snack and fruit basket, a gratitude journal, a life coaching or multi-bed session - the best gifts are ones that offer consideration for another person’s quality of life. These meaningful experiences can really make a difference to health and wellbeing in the long run.
