Many of our resources and memories are stored in our unconscious and hypnosis can help us access these more easily, allowing us to draw upon more of our unconscious processes to resolve issues and overcome challenges.
Hypnotherapy is suitable for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, pain management , self-esteem issues, physical healing, trauma, bad habits and phobias, in addition to many other issues.
Hypnosis is a naturally-occurring state (a bit like day-dreaming) and it allows you to shift your attention from what is going on around you to what is going on within you.
Hypnotherapy can help you access more of your own internal resources, allowing you to process beyond the constraints that tend to exist within our conscious thinking. Hypnotherapy can also help clear the way for deeper processing and acceptance. You will remain in total control throughout your hypnotherapy session.
Your first appointment will be an initial consultation. This gives you the chance to ask any questions you may have, ensures that Jenny can understand what you are looking to achieve and provides the opportunity to discuss effective ways of working together. Following this initial consultation, if you decide to come for hypnotherapy, Jenny will continue to review how you work together each session and ensure the approach is always collaborative.

Jenny is a CNHC registered Hypnotherapist, with a Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy from the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. She abides by the CNHC code of conduct and is also an Associate Member of the National Society of Talking Therapies.
Jenny supports her clients along their own personal journey and helps them to create positive change – whether that is working through unhelpful thoughts, emotions or behaviours, tackling a specific issue such as anxiety, self-esteem, phobias or addiction, or just taking time to explore general well-being and getting the most out of life.
Jenny’s training in Hypno-Psychotherapy means that she can draw on a number of approaches and techniques to meet her client’s needs at a deeper level as required, and she always welcomes her clients with respect, openness and encouragement.
The length of therapy required will be determined by the client’s goal, as while some individuals only need a few sessions of hypnotherapy, others may benefit from a longer process. Jenny will always tailor the number of sessions to what the client is wanting to achieve.
In addition to her work as a Hypnotherapist, Jenny is also a Life and Performance Coach, with a Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching. She is a Peer Practice Group Host for the British Psychological Society Special Group in Coaching Psychology and has an MSc Psychology.
