Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage helps ease chronic aches and pain. Focusing on specific problems such as a stiff neck, upper or lower back pain, leg tightness and sore tense shoulders. Easing contracted areas of muscular tissue, improving mobility, reducing repetitive strain injuries, postural problems and osteoarthritis pain. It can be very effective on sciatica, as well as piriformis syndrome and tennis elbow.
It realigns deep layers of muscle and connective tissue using slow deep concentrated pressure on areas of chronic tension or injury. The techniques and strokes are applied using thumbs, knuckles, forearms and elbows, helping physically break down adhesions (rigid tissue that can block circulation, limit movement and cause inflammation) in muscles, tendons, and ligaments. This helps to relieve pain and restore normal movement.
Cross-Fiber Friction - is used on tight rigid muscles and lesions. The amount of pressure may not be comfortable necessarily but it's very useful for the relaxation of tight muscles and lesions being treated.
Muscle Energy Technique (MET) - a type of stretching, especially useful in stretching postural muscles, which are prone to shortening. The client actively participates in the treatment session by resisting the movement done by the Therapist.
Trigger Point Therapy - intended to ease the source of the pain by applying pressure in the painful and sensitive areas of the body. The advantage of trigger point massage is discharging tightened ranges in the muscles consequently lightening pain.
Myofascial Release - a type of therapy that aims to treat myofascial pain by relaxing the contracted muscles. The technique is performed directly on the skin without using oils or lotion, this makes the therapist detect fascial limitation and apply the right amount of pressure to do the release of the fascia.

Vicki started her career as a Massage Therapist at Neal’s Yard Remedies Treatment Rooms over 20 years ago, after qualifying in Holistic and Remedial Massage in at the Alison Rostron School of Massage in Norwich. But over many years Vicki has gone on to qualify and gain some much more experience learning many other different types of Massage, Reflexology and even Hopi Ear Candling.
In 2016 Vicki diversified by qualifying in ITEC Diploma's levels 2 & 3 in Beauty Therapy with The Norwich School of Beauty, and enjoys the Beauty Treatments most that are combined with massage like facials and skincare treatments.
For seven years Vicki did on-site Massage Treatments at the head office of Virgin Money in Norwich. To help improve staff well-being, reduce absenteeism and help to alleviate work stress, tension and help ease muscular aches & pains, as part of their employee company healthcare benefits. Vicki also assisted hundreds of staff members that trained to run the Virgin Money London Marathon by doing regular sports massages, which helped everyone of them to get over the finishing line and receive their medals.
Over Vicki's vast Therapy career she has worked self-employed at other Health & Wellbeing Clinics, and Treatment Rooms in Norwich and joined Treat Health & Wellbeing Clinic in 2016.

Between 2010 and 2015, George worked as an assistant to men with spinal injuries, with people managing progressive degenerative conditions, and with those at the very end of their lives. During this formative and often challenging time, he became aware of the positive impact massage has on physical health and mental well-being.
In 2015, George obtained the ITEC Level 4 qualification in sports massage and began working as a therapist. In 2017, he joined the Treat team and continues to enjoy his work with many and varied clients.
More recently, in 2024, George qualified in Thai Yoga Massage. This traditional form of massage is received clothed, on a futon, on the floor. It's a two-hour whole-body treatment combining work along Sen (energy) lines with acupressure and gently applied stretching. Thai Yoga Massage has a long Buddhist lineage and is performed as a metta meditation.

David is accredited with an ITEC Level 3 & 4 qualifications in Sports Massage and IPHM Advanced Deep Tissue Massage, Since qualifying David has spent time building a private client base as well as working in corporate spaces, and various holistic venues across the region.
More recently in 2024 David qualified in Chinese Cupping Therapy. This traditional Chinese practice uses suction to release muscle tension, boost circulation and support recovery.
David is passionate about fitness and has played a variety of sports throughout his life, and it is this along with his professional training that has given David his comprehensive understanding of the anatomical structure of the body, the nature of sports injury and recovery, and the everyday postural issues we all live with.
