Understanding ‘The Point’ Through Storytelling
Part 4: The Acupuncture Point for an Energy Boost
Welcome to part 4 of our ‘acupuncture through storytelling’ series where we use storytelling to explain the mystery of how acupuncture works. The below example has also featured in Breathe magazine recently, and where our fabulous founder Rebecca Geanty and also acupuncturist Liz Douglas, shared their wisdom on all-things acupuncture-related.
Our Rebecca is a born storyteller. In this week’s blog she explains below how the acupuncture point Leg Three Miles (St 36) can really help us do just that – walk an extra mile! It’s a point also known to help with complaints related to longevity and can help to boost your system and help with the immune system.
Leg three Miles (St 36)
Metaphor: Warriors Going the Extra Mile (Or Three)
Legend has it that the point Leg Three Miles (St 36) found its name in acupuncture through the ancient story about how this point enabled Chinese soldiers to go the extra three miles. It is a major and important point. It facilitates nourishment and resilience and bestows longevity and endurance. St 36 has been used to treat a wide range of conditions including digestive disorders, fatigue, weakness and immune system support. It is also known for its role in promoting general vitality and stamina – and could also support you to go that extra mile or three, should you need an energy boost.
