Counselling In Norwich

Counselling

Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns.  A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice or prescribe medication. They will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems. Counselling offers a warm, empathic and confidential space, to explore your feelings and talk about whatever difficulties you may be experiencing.

Most people go through difficult and challenging times at some point. Life is not always easy or straightforward. Some people have experienced trauma in their life and may be living with negative and debilitating thoughts and emotions. Some people feel anxious or depressed, or feel disconnected from friends, family or career. Others sometimes describe a lack of purpose in life and a lack of enjoyment in everyday life.

Counselling can also help you learn new skills for building effective, better relationships as well as develop solutions to issues that have previously overwhelmed or negatively affected you.

Being heard, accepted and understood can be a powerful experience. This leads to a greater insight into thoughts and feelings, greater clarity, and greater self-acceptance,  along with the confidence to change patterns of behaviour and to feel happier.
