Annie's journey as a therapist began with training and experience at Relate, which led to a deeper interest in exploring therapeutic interventions. She went on to study a family therapy course provided by the NHS , which proved to be so rewarding on multiple levels, professional and personal that she went on to train on an NHS course in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. As a teacher and qualified social worker, and these additional qualifications in Psychotherapy, Annie joined the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) as a tutor and trainer for counsellors. Over time she graduated to providing diploma level courses.
Eventually family life took her to London where she worked for a relationship agency in 'relationship enhancement' and later for "Place2Be" as a Hub Manager overseeing Therapy in ten primary schools. Further training in areas such as clinical supervision and trauma therapy led her to her current, part time, role with the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), an organisation that protects children. She has other work in the psychotherapeutic field, and also enjoy being a mum and grandmother, which is a source of constant fascination.
Annie has wide ranging experience in psychotherapy and counselling with a special interest in Couples Counselling and treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Gary qualified as a Pharmacist in 1984 and worked for large and small companies and eventually purchased my own. Due to interest in Martial Arts, I studied karate for a number of years after obtaining a black belt. I taught on many occasions from 1986.
I undertook an Acupuncture training in 1996. During this time I discovered Qi Gong & Tai Chi which I find gives people a way to support their own systems. I have been practising Qi Gong for the last 20 years and I am now undergoing my teacher training within the 5 Element System. Whilst studying acupuncture I also discovered Craniosacral Therapy and went on to qualify as a therapist in 2000.
I have deepened into the practice with many advanced courses over the years (Shock & Trauma, Prenatal Development Pregnancy; particularly in embryonic and cardiovascular work, Neuroendocrine & Immune System & Stress Response). This work allows a deepening mindful connection with our own inherent health to enable us to become more resourceful self-regulating and resilient.

He also worked alongside clients struggling with progressive degenerative conditions and with others at the very end of their lives.
During this time George became aware of massage as a form of therapy. He was impressed with its healing value and in particular, the positive impact it has on physical health and mental well-being.
He also found that people responded well to him as a Carer, his calm and personable demeanor relaxed and comforted his clients.
In June 2015, George went on to obtain the ITEC Level 4 Sports Massage qualification. Since then he has been steadily building a reputation for consistently delivering high quality massage focused on meeting the needs of his clients. He enjoys event work, particularly if the weather is good, and embraces opportunities for professional development.

Joan has 40 years of midwifery experience include attending numerous home births in a ten year spell as a community midwife. She still practices as a midwife, is an antenatal leader, supporter of the fourth trimester and has founded Hypnobirthday her own hypnobirthing teaching service. She has trained in hypnobirthing with Marie Mongan's internationally recognised hypnobirthing movement and with HYPNOBIRTHMIDWIVESUK
Joan writes:
I have always been in awe of the ability of birthing mothers, each having their own journey and story to tell. However my fascination is with each mothers approach to the birthing process. Many women are calm and focused and have the ability to work with their body while others are terrified and appear to be experiencing excessive pain. I knew that if each mother had the right support she could have a more tranquil and rewarding experience while welcoming her baby in to a calm world.
How do I know this?
I have witnessed the extremes of childbirth too many times for there not to be a reason why some mothers have an amazing experience whilst others can be traumatised. Learning about hypnobirthing gave me the answers - it brought it all came together - the ability for Mothers, birth partners and midwives to gain the knowledge to have a complete team approach to child birth and enhancing the birth experience."

I started my career as a children’s Nanny working both in the UK and the USA. The care of children and the support of parents is close to my heart. I returned to the UK and worked in the ‘old’ Norfolk and Norwich Hospital in various wards before settling on Quinton Ward, a unit for children aged 0-2 years before moving to other wards for children up to 18 years.
Over the years and with more training and experience I began working with children with life limiting and life-threatening conditions. I also became a foster carer caring for children with disabilities. It was through this work that I retrained and became a children’s social worker, working with a number of families, offering support and guidance before becoming the manager of a Norfolk Children’s Centre.
In 2013 after redundancy I started my own business named “One to Cherish” focusing on the support of parents and their children The work includes developing the Onesie Baby Prep Programme, a class for parents to be to prepare them for caring for their new-born baby and teaching the IAIM Baby Massage programme both on a one to one basis and in group classes. I have worked with all families including parents and carers who are adopters and foster carers. To book with Liz for Onesie Baby Prep Programme or Baby Massage.

Treat’s founder and proprietor Rebecca works as a registered Traditional Acupuncturist, specialising in natural fertility for men and women. With over eleven years experience running her own practice and a BsC (Hons) from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) she has helped countless patients with a variety of mental, emotional and physical conditions.
In 2010 Rebecca created Norwich Acupuncture Rooms at The Orange Grove Clinic as a way of making acupuncture more accessible and affordable to a wide range of people. In China acupuncture is a very common practice and recommended weekly to begin with for effective treatment. Rebecca’s goal was to replicate this in the Western world with the multi-bed setting to allow patients the option of weekly treatment at a more affordable price.
A year later Rebecca also set up the Acupuncture Childbirth Team for East Anglia (ACT), which acts as an acupuncture network for other practitioners to share and learn information on natural birth techniques and pregnancy-related complaints.
Rebecca’s latest passion is treat – a unique holistic clinic where the practitioners all strive to work together for the people of Norwich; combining their skills and knowledge in providing one-to-one care and group sessions/workshops, which empower and educate people to reach a state of well-being and contentment. Norwich Acupuncture Rooms is now an integral part of treat-norwich Complementary Health Clinic.

Sam’s interest in health and bodywork began over 10 years ago through practising Tai Chi and Qigong. He was immediately fascinated with the concept of qi and how this energy interacts within people and the environment. This interest directed him down various routes of complementary medicine including kinesiology, reiki and massage.
His continued enthusiasm for Chinese philosophy inspired Sam to study Chinese medicine. Specialising in Traditional Chinese Medical acupuncture, Sam completed his acupuncture training at Westminster in London.
As a professional therapist Sam works as part of the multi-bed acupuncture team at treat, he has been an active acupuncturist for nearly 7 years. Treatments are aimed at uncovering the underlying cause of a patient’s symptoms and health concerns, helping the body to repair and re-balance naturally.

Vicki started her career 16 years ago as a Massage Therapist at Neal’s Yard Remedies Treatment Rooms, after qualifying in Holistic and Advanced Massage in 2006 at the Alison Rostron School of Massage in Norwich.
Over her career Vicki has worked self-employed at other Health & Wellbeing Clinics in Norwich and joined the team at Treat in 2016, to work alongside highly professional like-minded practitioners. She loves being part of a Health & Wellbeing Clinic that gives a high level of holistic care to all of it's clients. And where you can cross-refer to other practitioners in the same profession to give the clients the best possible care.
For seven years Vicki did on-site Massage Treatments at the head office of Virgin Money in Norwich. To help improve staff well-being as part of their employee company healthcare benefits, which helped to alleviate work stress and tension. Vicki also assisted hundreds of staff members that trained to run the Virgin Money London Marathon by doing regular sports massages, which helped everyone of them to get over the finishing line and receive their medals.
In 2016 Vicki diversified qualifying with a Diploma in ITEC levels 2 & 3 in Beauty Therapy with The Norwich School of Beauty, and has carried on learning new beauty therapy skills but always comes back to her love of massage.
