Friday night chill

The class offers an opportunity to chill out  taking time out to calm the body and mind.
It brings restorative yoga to Treat, a way of using yoga to help balance the nervous system and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, known to improve sleep and reduce the likelihood of depression and anxiety.
All postures are fully supported with blankets, blocks and bolsters ensuring your comfort, whilst your body gently relaxes.
The class takes place in a softly and beautifully lit space. Ian incorporates Aromatherapy oils, readings, drumming and other instruments that have a therapeutic effect on the body and mind through sound and vibration to create an all embracing experience.

Ian Bentley

Ian was drawn to yoga to help manage long standing lower back pain. He went on to  develop a deeper interest into the broader benefits of yoga and a desire to learn more and share the benefits of both yoga and meditation. He trained as  a yoga teacher in the summer of 2017 and has also has a meditation teacher training qualification..

Based in Norwich, Ian spent much of his professional career working in the fast-paced world of operational management in the NHS. He has since changed careers, and now works full-time as a Yoga teacher helping him to share yoga and meditation to help others be the best version of themselves.

Ian is building on his recent teaching training certificate by assisting his teacher to train new students to become yoga teachers.

Ian is also a Reiki Master and plans to teach Reiki in 2018, he also incorporates Reiki in 1 to 1 Rest and Restore session with clients, this includes combing restorative yoga postures with, Reiki, sound and vibration. This combination provides a calming therapeutic hour that leaves the clients feeling refreshed and revitalised.

Yoga class description

Ian’s classes combine elements of Hatha, Vinyasa and restorative yoga to create a rounded yoga practice. You will leave the class feeling calm and energised after going through a sequence of postures that flow from one to the other. Ian uses a range to props including blocks, straps, blankets and bolsters to enable everyone to experience each posture in accordance with their body type and age.

Ian has a calm and inclusive approach to his teaching allowing you to feel relaxed throughout your yoga class. Ian’s interest in sharing yoga to everyone to create a space where you can take some time out for yourself, become aware of your body and breath providing an opportunity to be in the present moment, without the distraction of thoughts from the past or the future.
