What is Baby Massage?
It is a wonderful skill to learn, equipping you with the tools and knowledge you need to help comfort and soothe your baby as well as developing and increasing the connections between you both.
Ashley Montagu says ‘the loving touch, like music often utters the things that cannot be spoken’ How wonderful that your hands will also communicate with your baby as your words do.
IAIM founder Vimala McClure brought Baby Massage to us in the 1990’s and her amazing training continues to bring you qualified and highly trained massage instructors. I am bringing this amazing IAIM Baby Massage course to you which uses Indian and Swedish techniques as well as some techniques from reflexology and yoga.
The course runs for five weeks and is completely baby led, with all instructions being shown and repeated each week, allowing the information and skills to develop with the continuing help of an instructor.
The amazing development of these skills are not just for now when your little one is small, they can be used throughout their life and if you are really lucky, they may reciprocate with a foot rub just for you.

I started my career as a children’s Nanny working both in the UK and the USA. The care of children and the support of parents is close to my heart. I returned to the UK and worked in the ‘old’ Norfolk and Norwich Hospital in various wards before settling on Quinton Ward, a unit for children aged 0-2 years before moving to other wards for children up to 18 years.
Over the years and with more training and experience I began working with children with life limiting and life-threatening conditions. I also became a foster carer caring for children with disabilities. It was through this work that I retrained and became a children’s social worker, working with a number of families, offering support and guidance before becoming the manager of a Norfolk Children’s Centre.
In 2013 after redundancy I started my own business named “One to Cherish” focusing on the support of parents and their children The work includes developing the Onesie Baby Prep Programme, a class for parents to be to prepare them for caring for their new-born baby and teaching the IAIM Baby Massage programme both on a one to one basis and in group classes. I have worked with all families including parents and carers who are adopters and foster carers. To book with Liz for Onesie Baby Prep Programme or Baby Massage.
Becoming a parent can be hard and sometimes lonely. My passion is supporting parents, carers and their babies, offering them the tools to build confidence, support emotional well-being to network with other people who offer them strength.
